Cleantech press conference organised by Miltton reaches 400 million Chinese viewers

A Cleantech Finland press conference in Beijing was broadcast to approximately 400 million viewers in mainland China in a three-minute reportage by major state television channel CCTV. The event was organized by Miltton in cooperation with its partner PR agency in China and the Embassy of Finland.

The press conference in May was held in connection with a seminar involving members of Chinese government and industry and top Finnish cleantech companies. President of Finland, Ms Tarja Halonen, and vice minister of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Mr. Xie Zhenhua were speakers at the event, where Chinese enterprises and Finnish clean technology companies signed major contracts and agreements.

Finnish cleantech business in China is currently worth 900 million Euros annually. This figure is expected to double by 2013. The Chinese government’s support and and media visibility are seen as highly advantageous in the development of Finnish-Chinese business cooperation.
