Eeva Kalli (M.Sc Econ., M.Sc. Admin.) will be appointed as the new Managing Director of Miltton Networks. Miltton Networks specialises in public affairs, and Kalli will strengthen Miltton’s competencies in both fields domestically and internationally. Her appointment is part of Miltton’s growth strategy and continued dedication to developing its supply of services, says Mathias Järnström, Managing Director of Miltton Group.
In the space of four years, Miltton Networks has incorporated public affairs and stakeholder relations into strategic top level management consulting. Simultaneously, Miltton Group has invested significantly into its growth by broadening the range of services it offers and by recruiting leading professionals from across the societal spectrum.
“I am impressed with Miltton’s ambitions in terms of growth and development of services. It’s great to be a part of these developments and to work with the best people in the industry. We will provide Finnish and Nordic companies the best possible tools, and enhance their preparedness for a competitive operational environment that is becoming increasingly convoluted,” says Eeva Kalli.
Kalli will move to Miltton from Finnish Energy Industries where she was Director of Communications and Public Affairs. Kalli has also worked as an EU Affairs Adviser for Prime Ministers Mari Kiviniemi and Matti Vanhanen, as well as an adviser for European Commissioner Olli Rehn and the Minister of Economic Affairs Mauri Pekkarinen.
“Public affairs is often understood as merely being about lobbying, when it fact it implies much more than that. Any and every interaction between a player and the world around it is a matter of public affairs. Managing that world is both a challenge and an opportunity. In the future, Finland will see an increase in merit-based public affairs and communications,” Kalli continues.
Jussi Kekkonen, the Founder and current Managing Director of Miltton Networks, will take the lead in working with Miltton Group’s wide-ranging customer base, and will continue developing and advising public affairs services. Kekkonen will also be named Chairman of the Board for Miltton Networks and Miltton Markets.
“Eeva Kalli will bring great expertise to team Miltton. At the same time, her appointment will allow me to focus on working more intensively with our customers and further developing our services,” says Kekkonen.
Miltton’s public affairs team consists of over 20 experts in four different countries. Over the past years Miltton Networks has created and established a capacity for offering public affairs and lobbying consultancy in Finland, and will look to do the same internationally after recruiting experts in Brussels, Stockholm and Tallinn.
Kalli comes with EU level experience in policy making and with an awareness of the role of Nordic actors in Brussels. She will work closely with Miltton Networks’ partners Anna-Mari Vimpari and Ville Kopra, along with Miltton’s international offices in Estonia, Sweden and Belgium.
