The best of European PR and communications have once again been honoured at the European Excellence Awards. This year’s event was organised in Paris on 4 December.
Gasum’s campaign “Petrol for the price of biogas” was the winner in the category Energy. The campaign was carried out in November 2013. Using earned media to communicate the benefits of biogas, it created an impressive line of cars at a service station in Lohja, Finland. The project was a collaboration between SEK and Miltton.
The communications for the Guggenheim Helsinki project won the Public Affairs category. Openness and the enabling of public discussion have been central for the project’s communications. An architectural competition to find a design for the proposed museum is underway. The decision on building the museum will be made later.
Miltton has been the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation’s communications partner in Finland since May 2013, when the foundation was preparing its renewed proposal for a Guggenheim museum in Helsinki.
Miltton’s projects for Gasum and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation were the only shortlisted submissions from Finland. The competition received 1,600 submissions across Europe.
